Rev Timothy Anthony Bryan was a great man who embodied zeal and commitment to his calling as a
minister in the New Testament Church of God. We grieve for a great husband, best friend and soul
mate to his beloved wife of 15 years Angela who never restricted Tim's calling as he dutifully
lived his charge as an anointed servant of God using his gifts and abilities to uplift, challenge
and inspire us to be the best we could be. We continue to pray for her strength in this difficult
time.
Tim worked for Christian Aid as a design and production manager. He previously managed a small
design studio responsible for producing a wide range of health promotion materials and campaigns
across the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham.
He dabbled in photography as he liked to put it and would spend numerous hours at police stations as
an appropriate adult for youth in problems with the law.
Fluent in gadgetry. Didn’t do tea runs! Involved in a wide range of community and church based
projects including youth work. He played the sax and pretended to play the keyboard, bass guitar and
drums.
Tim was a member of the Herne Hill NTCG, National NTCG Youth Executive member and consultant to many
projects within the New Testament Church of God at the senior level. The legacy he leaves behind is
a rich one, Tim transformed the lives of many people far and wide with the word of God and his
infectious humour that could turn any situation around. Words would fail us immeasurably for
accolades and awards could never truly honour the contribution made by this individual. He gave his
life to God and God used him mightily and we are all the beneficiaries of a life lived 24/7/365 for
God.
On the morning of Tuesday 22nd July 2008, Tim Bryan rose early as he prepared for another day. The
orders he received that day came from on high, Tim was promoted to higher office and the world lost
a great man. His cause of death has not yet been ascertained and we ask respectfully for any
speculation to cease in honour of his wife, family and those that loved him.
Before he died Tim produced a book documenting his love of photography, details will be published
soon and we ask for your support in memoriam.
If you wish to upload a tribute photo of yourself and Tim please contact me through this site.
Service with that smile
I saw Tim at Big Move 2008, with his inseparable camera, waiting for that next opportunity to point, click and digitally capture a moment in time. I asked him: 'are you enjoying what you're doing?' His immediate ear-to-ear smile answered my question long before his words did. It was the confident smile from the heart of a person who was doing the right thing, at the right time, and genuinely loving the opportunity and the privilege to be doing it.
It was a blessing to meet, and all too briefly know, this humble man who served with that smile, and the smile of God. May Tim's soul rest in heaven's eternal peace. Kt
Good and faithful servant
The first time I met Tim was on a pastors kids day 22 years ago at Overstone.
From that time I've admired how this man managed to be so disciplined, available and consistent in all the things he did.
Over the past few years I have been blessed to work first hand with Tim as a national youth board member, and got to know him alot more through the deep conversations we shared at our planning retreats, my admiration only continued to grow the more.
When working with a team, it's always good to know that all the team members play their part well, it was a blessing working with Tim who was always one step ahead. The youth board will miss Tim deeply, but the momeries will aways be with us. R.I.P. Tim. Angela, may God's comfort and peace be with you always. Des
The Legend
Tim, you have truly had a huge impact. Words cannot express truly how I feel but you will be greatly missed by me and all the young people. I am grateful for all your encouragement and support over the years. You have been a great big brother and mentor challneging me and encouraging in the youth ministry and my own personal walk with God. You helped me through some hard times, the Lord knows. But you have run well and you have finished your course, I know you crowd in blinging and you are probably in owe of the splendor of God's glory. I am priviledged to have had you in my life and I know your legacy we continue through the lives of those you have touched with the help of God. My prayers and love are with Angela and the family and friends of Tim. May God's peace be with us all at this time and may the memories continue to bring joy to our hearts.
Our lives were touched with his inspiration and devotion as an outstanding gentleman. He utlised every gift that was given to him to bless others and proved to the rest of us that 'I CAN' means just that. He crossed the boundaries of limitation and continued to push forward with determination and a willing zeal. He held is ground where some of peers had made other choices and was a shining beacon and an example to all around Him. We have known the Bryan family since the early days of Catford Church and the inception of the Lee District and his parents can hold there head high with pride at the great legacy that Timothy has left. We share the grief of his beautiful wife Angela at the loss of a wonderful husband of 15 years. Hold on to the wonderful memories that you share of an exceptional husband. Write and record those memories so that you will be able to treasure them as time pasts. God Bless you and provide you with the strength that you will need during this time. God Bless you from the Ashley Family
Inspiration
Tim, I didn't know that National would be your last convention. You were one of the people that I just took for granted was going to be there, year after year. But God had something else in mind and He knows what is best. But we haven't lost you, we know exactly where you are and look forward to seeing you again. You have reminded me that God does allow his saints to go through and that there is not a minute of life to be wasted. I will not be wasting my minutes with foolishness of this world. Thank you. Let God be praised for your life and all you did. See you later.
Man, what a man! A pleasure to have known him.
Blessed are you Tim for you died in the Lord: Yes, said the Holy Spirit, you may rest from your labours; and your works do follow you (Rev 14:13).
I learned so much from his interaction with young people and the way he related to everyone even when we were trying his patience. The life changin Word made digestible by any biblical means necessary. Tim was truly an Eph 4 gift to the Church we are the product of his labours. A 'jack of all trades and master of many' He was everywhere.
My deepest sympathy to Sister Angela, the Bryan family and the young people of West Croydon. He will be remembered in every photo he has taken especially BIG MOVE 08. Peace
Our Loss is Heavens Gain
I have watched Tim flourish, grow in stature, confidence and skill as a professional photographer. He was always a calming influence behind the scenes of a hectic convention.
My closing memory of him was positioning himself just right for a photo opportunity during the recent convention. He wanted information to ensure he could capture the moment just perfect.
Tim, myself and the Hospitality Team salute you. Angela we will be praying for you and the family. Sharon x
You will be missed
A warm smile is what we will remember most. Whether you met him at convention, at an event or at the train station, Tim always had a warm smile to greet you. He lived the fruits of the spirit and left his mark on all of us. Our prayers are with Angela and the entire Bryan family, may God keep you in perfect peace.
You will be missed
I have only met Tim recently and was privileged to be at the outreach he ministered at in Croydon Shopping Centre on the 12th July. I know his words touched many and I wonder what one particular lady who, wiping away tears while allowing Tim to pray for her, would say if she knew that God had permitted her to be one of the last people Tim spoke with.
God bless you Tim, you were a man of excellence.
Rev.Timothy Bryan - A man about God\'s business
I have been greeting this man of God each year at National Convention. We had both been employed in the Kingdom nationally for some years. We greeted as usual this year and both said in unison, here we are again, and laughed. He had a presence about him that was aproachable, easy, caring, calm. He had time for people. He went about his photography work so dilligently and professionally, and you could see that each angle and caption he was about to take, had to be right.
He gave of his best here on earth and now the Lord has called him to higher office. He will be greatly missed.
At this time, I would like to give my sincere condolences to his wife and family members.
